​SSS in the News | Ng Yew Kwang: Delaying the time that secondary school students start lessons could help alleviate sleeping problems among youth

In a commentary, Prof Ng Yew Kwang from NTU Singapore suggested it could be beneficial to start classes later than the current norms for secondary school students, so as to adjust to the natural state that youths tend to sleep and wake late. He said a pilot study should be done soon, to observe if a significant improvement could be seen in the sleep, health, studies and level of happiness of secondary students by starting lessons later.
